Toshiba NB200 or Dynabook UX 开盒照

I have here today, the Toshiba Dynabook UX 10” netbook, or the NB200 for those that prefer that name. This went on sale today yesterday in Japan.
I am extremely impressed with the build quality and design of the Toshiba NB200. I haven’t been quite this excited for a while. I’ve got the brown model here and it’s lovely. The lid is covered with engraved stripes, with the stripes flowing over onto the screen bezel (a little thick though). The gold metallic screen hinge looks very exquisite and looks as classy as the ASUS Eee PC S101.
The keyboard is one of those chiclet keyboards, and combined with the metallic silver, reminds me of the Sony Vaio P. This actually might be the best keyboard I’ve seen on Japanese netbook.
The trackpad looks and feels smooth and is a great size as are the buttons, easily the best on any netbook out there.
It’s extremely light but right now I have the 3-Cell battery. I don’t see any 6-cell on sale right now, but I will snap up the 6-cell as soon as it becomes available. There are no SIM slots on this model, but I never expected any.
On the bottom, it looks like there are access panels for everything, though it won’t confirm that until I actually start testing this thing.
The power brick is just as small as on the Eee PCs. A couple of millimeters longer. Nice to see an SD Card reader at the front.
Going to start some battery tests as soon as Windows does it’s thing. |
